God loves you and sent His Son to die on the cross for you. Jesus would rather die than spend eternity without you. For you to hear about God’s love and positively respond by believing and receiving Jesus Christ as your personal Savior is the greatest moment of your life.
But God wants everyone to hear the message. I heard a missionary say one time, “It’s not fair that some people hear the Gospel twice, when many people haven’t heard it once.” It is important that those who have heard tell people who have not heard.
At Faith Baptist Church we encourage people to deliberately give to Missions. We do have a portion (5%) from our General Budget that is designated to Missions. But we also have many people who annually promise to give to our Missions Fund. Every cent of what people designate to Missions goes to missionaries and missions organizations.ne to know. One missionary said, “It’s not fair that some have heard the Gospel twice, when others have not heard it once.”
A few weeks ago I was curious how much we have given to missions. After a little research (Thanks Tim Schmucker!) I have some statistics over the last 20 years. You will be able to see the growth in our missions giving below. These statistics are what our church has given away to other missionaries and Gospel organizations. A list of our missionaries is on our website.
If you have never given to missions, I hope you will try it out. Whether directly or through a church, I believe God will bless you as you invest in the worldwide spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Praise the Lord! Our current Missions Committee is recommending an annual Missions Budget (2014) of $74,500. This will be the biggest Missions Budget in the history of our church. I’m excited to see what God is going to do with our church as we reach beyond walls and borders.
